We grind 6–8 inches below grade — enough to seed grass, lay sod, or landscape straight over the spot. Chips stay as mulch unless you'd rather we haul them off.

You send a photo with a tape across the widest point. We confirm the size and come back with a firm price, usually the same working day. Once you say go, the 811 locate takes two business days — that's the floor on scheduling, and it's not something we skip.
On the day, most single stumps are done in well under an hour. Big shade trees with wide root flares take longer — most of that is setup and grinding the flare, not the stump itself. We rake the chips into the hole or into your beds, and you're left with a spot you can plant.
